General Liability Insurance Coverage

General Liability is one of the core policies that no business should do without. From slip and fall accidents to slander and copyright infringement, Hays offers the critical protection to keep those pesky lawsuits from becoming a financial drain. A General Liability policy typically provides coverage for the following:

Bodily Injury

This will cover claims if third parties sustain an injury from your professional services. For example, your client slips and falls in your studio.

Property Damage

This will cover the costs of damage to a third party’s property caused by you or your employee.

Personal and Advertising Injury

This protects you should someone claim that your business caused them damage that isn’t physical. These can arise from claims alleging: libel, slander, disparagement, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, and misappropriation of advertising ideas.

Actions of Employees

Coverage is extended to employees and temporary workers if they are acting on behalf of the insured.

Defense Costs

Defense expenses are covered up to the chosen policy limit and minus any deductible.

Medical Expenses

Pays the applicable medical costs if an individual is injured and needs medical treatment due to an accident on your premises.
